Dr. James Stoxen DC., FSSEMM (hon) has been invited to speak at the 5th International Women’s Forum, London, United Kingdom on March 23–24, 2026

https://womens-forum.scholarsconferences.com

We offer our deepest gratitude to the organizers of the International Women’s Forum for assembling such a powerful platform advocating women’s health, leadership, and wellness. It is truly a privilege to be asked to speak at an event of this caliber. Such a distinguished gathering reflects global commitment to amplifying women’s voices and has become a marquee in the international conference circuit. I am honored to contribute my voice and expertise among so many esteemed leaders.

My work over decades has spanned clinical orthopedics, biomechanics, pain recovery, and the integration of inflammation science into practical strategies for spinal, joint, and soft-tissue health. I’ve earned a reputation internationally as a clinician, lecturer, and educator who bridges rigorous science and real-world therapies. At the Women’s Forum, my focus will be on conditions like lower back pain, herniated discs, and thoracic outlet syndrome in women — areas often underrepresented in women’s health discourse. Beyond live sessions, I routinely share free healing tools, books, and video courses via www.teamdoctorsacademy.com

The Inflammation–Depression Connection: A Biomechanical and Biochemical Framework for Science-Based Self-Care

Abstract

Chronic low-grade inflammation is increasingly recognized as a central factor in the pathophysiology of depression and anxiety. This work presents a comprehensive model linking immune activation, biochemical imbalance, and biomechanical dysfunction to mood disorders. The objective is to integrate clinical observation, biochemical research, and movement science into a single, actionable framework for drug-free recovery.

The study’s scope encompasses interdisciplinary findings on the indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO)–kynurenine pathway, in which inflammation diverts tryptophan metabolism away from serotonin synthesis, producing neurotoxic metabolites that impair mood regulation. Simultaneously, chronic mechanical loading, postural collapse, and muscle guarding—addressed through the Human Spring Approach—exacerbate circulatory stasis, oxidative stress, and cytokine release, sustaining an inflammatory feedback loop.

Methods: The synthesis integrates clinical data from 38 years of patient observation, PubMed-sourced biochemical research, and field-tested biomechanical mapping. Key interventions included vibration-assisted deep-tissue release (Vibeassage™), barefoot gait retraining, and anti-inflammatory self-care protocols emphasizing movement restoration and nutrition.

Results and Discussion: Observational data show consistent correlations between high-tension muscular zones and depressive symptomatology. Literature confirms cytokine elevation (IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α) and IDO activation in mood disorders. Mechanical decompression combined with anti-inflammatory strategies demonstrated improved mobility, normalized posture, and enhanced mood stability.

Conclusion: The inflammation–depression connection reframes mood disorders as systemic inflammatory syndromes influenced by both biochemical and biomechanical mechanisms. Addressing inflammation through movement restoration and targeted self-care offers a promising, science-based, drug-free adjunct for improving mood and overall health.
