DeTao Masters Academy (DeTao) has dedicated itself to high-end and professional education by gathering the wisdom of the world and nurturing professional elites through bringing together the world’s leading masters from a wide range of fields.
The DeTao Masters Academy (DTMA) 北京德稻教育机构 is a high-level, multi-disciplined, application-oriented higher education institution in the Songjiang District of Shanghai, China. DeTao Masters Academy (DTMA) was established in September 2010 with the approval of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.
Their DMH (DeTao Master Heritage) model of master-apprentice education goes beyond the traditional education approach by promoting intimate interactions between masters and students, emphasizing practice, creativity and global perspective, and blending lecture, practice and overseas explorations in their curriculum.
With years of intensive research on many industries in China and the world, DeTao engages the most sought-after Masters around the world, funds their individual Master Studios, and supports their operations in China. Their business model of Masters Studios intends to bring in hundreds of creative talents from around the world and help them set up businesses and train apprentices in China.
The academy is bringing together leading masters from around the world representing many fields. These masters will share their advanced knowledge with apprentices in a sophisticated learning system that goes beyond conventional degree studies. Putting special emphasis on the sharing of tacit knowledge, they seek to nurture professional elites with unique specialties and thus help the development of enterprises that depend on such expertise.
The masters, students, technologies and capital to build up DeTao will come from all over the world. The concept of the Masters Academy originated in China but aims to have worldwide influence with its unique semi-public, semi-commercial and open business approach. The DeTao Masters Academy is dedicated to improving enterprises and institutions and thus contributing to the harmonious development of the society.
DeTao has over 25 years’ experience with more than US$3.8 billion investments in various projects in China. They have a proven record of bringing in international masters and branding them in their fields. To date, over one hundred Masters from more than twenty countries have joined DeTao.
To promote Masters’ education and business activities, DTMA has partnered with four top tier universities in China and Japan, and has signed strategic collaboration agreements with China Railway Construction Corporation Limited, Shanghai Film Group and Haikou Municipal Government of Hainan Province.
Through their strong social network, media channels and PE (private equity) connections, they promote their masters’ business projects and education programs. As a DeTao Master, Dr Stoxen will be teaching in his own private studio, which will be located either in Shanghai, on the campus of Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts (SIVA) of Fudan University, or in the DeTao, Beijing headquarters.
On October 10, 2009, nine universities made up the C9 League, one of which is the Fudan University. The league was self-organized, attempting to create a group that is pitched as China’s equivalent of Ivy League. So essentially Dr. Stoxen will be teaching at an Ivy League university in China.
